Service is like a two edged sword.
It is a medium for us to love our God for His infinite goodness, and fight the evil in this world.
But sometimes we get so tangled up in our matters, that we hurt ourselves and others, and forget the heart of the matter.
The heart of service, is love. Without a heart, a body cannot receive the blood with the necessary nutrients and oxygen for us to live.
In the same sense, without love, we cannot receive the proper graces from the Holy Spirit to live a life of freedom and fullness.
So let us know the heart of the matter, so that like how the human heart let’s us live in this world, love will let us live for all eternity and be in His splendor.
Amen

You will hear His call when you deprive yourself completely of any selfish desires.
